Meet Meline Trailer

posted by Freddy

I just ran across this over at Highend3D.com and I was really amazed by it. It’s a trailer to  a short film made by a husband and wife team(Sebastien Laban and Virginie Goyons) about a little girl named Meline. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the final short turns out.

They have a production blog/thread over at CGTalk and they also have a website here: http://www.meetmeline.com/

“Anchored” by Lindsey Olivares

posted by Freddy

I ran across this on the AM forums earlier today. It’s a senior thesis project by Lindsey Olivares from the Ringling College of Art and Design. I really dig the story and the visual style of it. Enjoy!

If you want to check out more of her work, she has a blog here.

Thanks to Bobby Pontillas for sharing this great find!

FlipBook Fun: Throw

posted by Freddy

Another quick FlipBook test I did while the wifey and her sister were watching TV last night. I’m finding these quick tests are a lot of fun to do so I think I’m going to try and finish these before they are done with their shows. Maybe it’ll help me get faster with figuring out my timing and such.

I don’t know why YouTube keeps cutting off the end of these clips. I animated till the small ball bounces out of frame. Like before, please forgive the lack of drawing skill. ;)

FlipBook Fun: Floaty

posted by Freddy

Just got a replacement pen for my newly acquired Tablet PC that my brother wasn’t using anymore. I was going to do a quick test in FlipBook of a guy jumping across the screen while my wife was watching a tv show. She wrestled the pen from my iron-like grip and randomly drew a heart in the middle of the screen. Decided to keep it and ended up with this.

Please forgive my total lack of drawing skills. :)
